CFB Comox, also known as 19 Wing, is a Royal Canadian Air Force base located on the east coast of Vancouver Island, approximately 2 hours north of Victoria. The base is home to 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron, 407 Maritime Patrol Squadron, and the Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue. The base operates the CP-140 Aurora maritime patrol aircraft and the CC-115 Buffalo search and rescue aircraft.
