BGRS Process

When you receive your posting message, you'll be directed to register with BGRS. BGRS coordinates your move logistics, including household goods shipping, travel, and temporary accommodation. As your REALTOR®, Andrew and his team work within this system to ensure your home purchase or rental aligns with your posting timeline and benefits.

Key things to know: you are entitled to a house-hunting trip (HHT), which typically includes flights, car rental, and accommodation for up to one week. Andrew and his team coordinate with your BGRS coordinator to schedule showings and maximize your HHT time.

Yes, many military members purchase before their posting message. However, BGRS benefits are only confirmed once you have a valid posting message. Andrew and his team recommend waiting until you have your message to begin the formal process, but he can help you research communities and housing options in advance.
What if my house-hunting trip is cut short?
We prepare thoroughly before your HHT arrives. Andrew and his team provide virtual tours, neighbourhood reports, and a shortlisted selection of properties so you can make the most of every day. If needed, we continue the process remotely after your HHT ends.
What are the best schools for military families?
Esquimalt and View Royal have strong elementary and middle school options. Langford and Colwood offer newer schools and growing programs. Andrew and his team can provide specific school catchment information based on the neighbourhoods you're considering.
